Whatuwhiwhi, the peninsula’s main settlement, hosts the annual Kitefishing Klassic, providing the perfect chance to view exponents of this land based fishing technology at work. Whatuwhiwhi is also the home of the local dive centre, while nearby Carrington Estate will lure with its world-class golf course and the Karikari Estate Vineyard and Winery (11am - 4pm)
